Pack wisely, Cry less, Adventure more
Peru’s got altitude, attitude and a whole lot of terrain—so pack like you’re chasing every climate. Bring layers you can peel or pile: lightweight shirts, a warm hoodie or fleece. Pack like a pro and travel light—but smart. Layer up for altitude swings, bring sturdy walking shoes for cobbled streets and epic hikes, plus a light rain jacket for those jungle showers or mountain mist. Don’t forget sunscreen (even in the Andes), bug spray (hello, Amazon) and possible altitude meds if you’re heading high. Add a power bank for that extra boost, toss in trail snacks like nuts or granola bars—perfect for long bus rides or high-altitude hikes where food stalls are scarce as these may save your day more than once. And always stash small bills—Peru runs on cash, especially in markets and remote towns. Bonus tip: leave room for souvenirs—you’ll want that alpaca scarf you didn't know you needed.
